DAY BY DAY BREAKDOWN
Day 0 (Saturday, June 13)
We will gather this afternoon/evening in North Mankato, MN for check in and our welcome meeting. Take a trip into town for dinner and drinks, and finish making plans on how you want to enjoy your time on the bike tour.

Day 1 (Sunday, June 14)
Mileage options (26 or 53 miles)
Elevation gain (792 or 1500 ft.)
On the first day of riding out of N. Mankato, the route will take us west along the Minnesota River with a stop in Minneopa State Park. Those doing the longer route will head south on the Red Jacket Trail through Rapidan and Rest Stop #2 in Good Thunder before looping back up to Rapidan. Upon returning to camp/hotels, you can shower and change; lunch is on your own, but dinner tonight will be provided by the tour.

Day 2's route will take us east out of N. Mankato on the Sakatah Singing Hills Trail to the state park. There will be a rest stop at mile 16 in Madison Lake, as well as mile 31 in the state park, which is the turnaround point. Be sure to stop off at Scoops Ice Cream Parlor in Elysian. Madison Lake will also have a couple of restaurants (the Anchor and the Landing) you might want to consider for lunch on the way back, which will be about mile 47 for the longer route. When you return to camp, you can shower, change, and pack up your gear, before driving about 60 miles southeast to Albert Lea, the birthplace of Eddie Cochran and Mrs. C! Lunch and dinner are on your own this day. Optional boat excursions on Albert Lea Lake this evening at 4 and 6 p.m.

Today we will go north out of Albert Lea for a quick loop through Clarks Grove and our first rest stop at mile 11. Those opting for the shorter route will turn back towards the fairgrounds, while those doing to the longer route will continue on through Manchester and the farming community of Armstrong. Similar to Sunday (Day #1), upon returning to camp/hotels, you can shower and change; lunch is on your own, but dinner this evening will be provided by the bike tour. We also have a special comedy/singing show at 4:00 back in camp.

Hope you're having fun in Albert Lea! Before we leave, we will ride through Myre-Big Island State Park, around Albert Lea Lake, and out east to our first rest stop at the Bohemian Brick Hall. From there, we head south to the town of Glenville and rest stop #2. From there we will make our way back north to Albert Lea, with an optional scenic ride around Fountain Lake as you make your way back to camp to shower, change, and pack up. Once you're ready, everyone will drive about 50 miles north to Faribault, famous for their woolen mill. Set up camp or check into your hotel. Lunch and dinner are on your own this day, so head into town for some food, like the old A&W drive in!

Those doing the short route are more than welcome to bike into town to explore. For those doing the longer route, you will bike along the countryside and south to rest stop #2 in Shieldsville, before continuing back to camp. Shower, change, and get back into town. Lunch is on your own, but dinner is provided by the bike tour on our final night. Enjoy the music of Mike Mraz, a T.O.M. music favorite!
